Please refer to the remarks regarding short-term rentals and other frequently asked questions. A Carolopis award winning Charleston single duplex in the desirable Elliotborough neighborhood!! First and second floor apartments are identical with separate entrances. Perfect location, walkable to fashionable upper King Street area's restaurants, bars, colleges, shopping, and culture. Old charm of a Charleston single-house with hardwood floors, gas fireplace in both units, and side porches. A lovely private brick-paved garden area is perfect for dining, gathering, and relaxing. Kitchen in upstairs unit is newly remodeled including appliances. Some of the work completed recently includes new HVACS in both units, new gutters, new shutters, new interior paint, updated electrical and plumbing. This is such a great property and I appreciate your interest. I wanted to update you on 236 Coming Street. I have received a good number of calls regarding the leases, repairs, parking and also short-term rentals. Not in a flood zone. We have leases in place with deposits collected. The rental amount is $2950/month for each unit. The lease terms are from August 1, 2023 and end on May 31st, 2024. These are solid rentals and the tenants are handling their own utilities except for water. They have rented the properties furnished with a few exceptions. They are also required to have renters insurance. This location does not qualify for short term rentals unless someone resides in one of the units. It does qualify for 30 days or more rentals. The leases cannot be terminated so that option would begin on June 1st, 2024. Parking - this location qualifies for residential parking decals which cost $20 for the year. Street parking along this road seems to be fairly good as reported by the neighbors. If you either own this awesome home or have renters with a lease, they can apply for parking permits. If they are students, they do not require a SC drivers license. Just their student ID. Repairs - we received an inspection report from a prospective buyer that alerted us to an issue with a floor joist under the home. Our owners have completed the repairs now and are happy to share the work performed by their licensed contractor.
